Hi, I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Statistics and Applied Probability department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research focuses on developing statistical emulators on expensive computation problems such as simulation with high dimensional inputs and finding the mapping for inverse problems. In short, I am working on both forward problem \( Y = f(X) \) and inverse problem: given desired \( Y = f(X) \) , how to find appropriate \(X=f^{-1}(Y) \)? The application now is focused on molecular dynamic simulation and material/molecule design.
Before coming to the UCSB, I received my master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 2018 and two bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Finance from Nankai University in 2016.
